Senior Designer | The Space At 9/2
Designed 8+ projects within the duration of the contract in multiple practices of design; from Brand Identity and Packaging — to Website design. Actively involved in, and accountable for timelines, people and client management. Developed documents encompassing studio values to be shared with key and potential clients, stakeholders, as well as potential employees; and implemented an enhanced experience for new-hire onboarding. While working on multiple client portfolios in design capacities as well as Art Directing in select client accounts leading junior designers and strategists.
Graduate Interaction Designer | Hike One
Dhruti worked with Hike One to complete her Graduate design thesis as an Interaction Designer. Throughout her period at Hike One, she designed and developed "Nico" — a new age interaction approach that merges the physical and digital worlds together. She was a one-person team, working under the guidance of her mentor, Lodovico Marchesini - an experienced & accomplished Interaction designer currently working at IKEA. She gained immense experience and insight into digital interfaces as well as the design processes and work that go into making a successful product or service.
Product Design Intern | Kokuyo Camlin Ltd.
In early 2018, Dhruti joined Kokuyo Camlin as a Research and Development Intern - one of India's leading stationery firms. Her core responsibilities during her time here were to work with the engineering department to develop functional and aesthetic products that were within the company's budget and viable using existing manufacturing techniques. As she was the only designer amidst a team of engineers, it was on her to lead design in the company. She gained lots of hands-on experience working on real-time projects as well as working with manufacturers and engineers to design the best solutions for their customers.
